Deliverance ministries rightly focus on bringing the glorious power of the LORD Jesus Christ to bear on the activities of the kingdom and powers of darkness. Having defeated the Devil and all his works, the LORD Jesus Christ gave to His Church a divine imperative to exercise authority over all the work of Satan and his kingdom. When correctly applied deliverance can and will yield strong and spiritually stable believers that are able to better handle themselves against the onslaught of the demonic and satanic attacks, advancing menacingly against the believers of The LORD Jesus Christ.

A particular area of interest to the Devil, his cohorts and kingdom is in proliferating  the world and churches with false doctrines and practices. False doctrines and practices of such in churches are in many ways more potent and dangerous than the odd cases of demon possession. At least with demon possession, evil spirits can be driven out in the authoritative name of the LORD Jesus Christ. False doctrines, on the other hand, are cancerous as they serve to undermine the biblical foundation and principles which undergird spiritual growth and maturity in the body of Christ. Exponents of false doctrines are already planted in churches as predicted by the LORD Jesus Christ in a series of teachings He gave to His disciples. One such compelling teaching can be found in the parable of the wheat and tare quoted below.

24 Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is likened unto a man which sowed good seed in his field:

25 But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way.

26 But when the blade was sprung up, and brought forth fruit, then appeared the tares also.

27 So the servants of the householder came and said unto him, Sir, didst not thou sow good seed in thy field? from whence then hath it tares?

28 He said unto them, An enemy hath done this. The servants said unto him, Wilt thou then that we go and gather them up?

29 But he said, Nay; lest while ye gather up the tares, ye root up also the wheat with them.

30 Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn.

Matthew 13:24 – 30 (King James Version)

Choose heaven or hell

The difficulty that adherents to false doctrines are finding is illustrated in the parable above. Tares and wheat look identical making it difficult to tell them apart. Tares have corrosive, effect on wheat because it not only grows alongside it thereby minimising its productivity, but it also infuses its poison into it thereby rendering it ineffectual and useless. The picture you get from this parable is one that clearly demonstrates the challenges facing many believers in identifying false ministers of the Gospel, false believers sent into the Church to plunder and deceive, and false prophets sent to lead believers astray. This goes some way in explaining why it is that conduct and behaviour unbecoming of a minister and servant of Christ in open display, is rarely ever challenged by the masses following these false ministers.

However, the Church and in particular individual believers cannot delegate their responsibility to spot, identify and warn of false doctrines and false ministers. We know this because Jesus reflected in the parable that the harvest will come, and with the coming of the harvest it becomes plain for all to see, that which was considered and thought to be wheat were in fact, tares.

36 Then Jesus sent the multitude away, and went into the house: and his disciples came unto him, saying, Declare unto us the parable of the tares of the field.

37 He answered and said unto them, He that soweth the good seed is the Son of man;

38 The field is the world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom; but the tares are the children of the wicked one;

39 The enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are the angels.

40 As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire; so shall it be in the end of this world.

41 The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity;

42 And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.

43 Then shall the righteous shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. Who hath ears to hear, let him hear.

Matthew 13:36 – 43 (King James Version)

But we have and are having on going harvest where more and more tares are plain for all to see, but the problem is not many can see them for what they truly are. Are you one of those caught up in the deceitfulness of the tares in churches and can see it unfold before your very eyes but do nothing? You may not have any control over the tares you can see, neither can you abdicate your responsibility to act in accordance with the will of God. Far too many within the body of Christ do not regard adherents to false prophets, false teachers and false ministries to be in need of deliverance. They are typically regarded as wacky, weird and grossly misguided, and beyond that nothing to suggest that something far more sinister is at work in them. According to Scripture false prophets, false teachers and false pastors; can be defined as ministers of Satan. They are emissaries of Satan deliberately planted in churches to lead people astray and into the same eternal condemnation, already reserved for them.

14 And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.

15 Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.

2 Corinthians 11:14 -15 (King James Version)

Wolves in sheep's clothing

Wolves And Preys

Ministers of Satan are adept in the art of deception, manipulation and persuasion. It is no wonder that many who are absorbed into their cult status personalities; are totally bereft of the ability to fully establish their confidence and trust in God. Ministers of Satan should not be blamed entirely for the wiles of their ways; their sycophantic followers are equally to blame for being spiritually naive and gullible. How often have ministers professing to be prophets called by God dictate prophecies that never come to pass? How often have same ministers been called to account for failed prophecies, but simply fail to show up?

How often have ministers professing to be prophets of God, used spiritual intimidation, retribution, and threats to attack those who rightly demand some explanation for their failed prophecies; being strongly defended by their followers who refuse to engage with Scripture? How often have ministers been caught out and in some cases bang to rights in acts of sexual perversion, sexual immorality, paedophilia, fraud, financial embezzlement, idolatry, criminality, and more acts along the same debased continuum; and still they remain in position to continue committing such wicked atrocities in the name of the Gospel.

How often have some ministers committed sexual assault whilst claiming sexual copulation was a necessary  and indeed required sacrament in effecting deliverance; and such conduct goes unchallenged by the very Word of Scripture their followers purport to uphold?

What about those ministers who leave their spouses in order to marry someone else falsely claiming that God had told them to do so and still retaining the a strong backing and support from their followers and membership. Would God ever instruct his servants to commit adultery, fornication and illicit sexual behaviour purposely to advance the Gospel? Really!

Lets get one thing straight, not every minister that has serious shortcomings are ministers of Satan. There are those who genuinely struggle with particular sinful disposition and find it hard to overcome. They wrestle in their prayer life to bring order to the chaos that has consumed them. There are those ministers who start of well, on a good course with God until the lure of fame, prestige, self-aggrandizement, money, celebrity status and wealth entices them to abandon the path of righteousness, for the road to perdition.

9 But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition.

10 For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.

1 Timothy 6:9 -10 (King James Version)

Perhaps, it is because they see so many of their peers on television, cable and satellite channels; or they listen to them on radio and other forms of communication media, espouse popular doctrines gratifying the sinful nature to the delight of their followers. This of course is not a new phenomenon, it had been a problem for the early church and it will continue to remain a problem until Jesus returns. The LORD Himself prophesied that false prophets and false christs will arise and deceive many, and chillingly implied that believers should therefore, have no excuse; as He has forewarned of it happening.

24 For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.

25 Behold, I have told you before.

Matthew 24:24 – 25 (King James Version)

So why after this warning do many so called Christians continue in their droves to patronise, support and subscribe to the belief, doctrines and practices of ministers who promote satanic activities in the Church and doctrines taught by demons? To understand why, a closer examination of ministers of Satan, their appetite and desire should be placed under the spotlight of the Scripture and the Gospel. Apostle Paul encountered first hand the problems visited on the church by ministers of Satan, and his experience and explanation as to the motivation that drives them is not only true, but remarkably evident in the world today.

13 For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ.

14 And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.

15 Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.

2 Corinthians 11:13 – 15 (King James Version)

In answer to the question posed earlier, ministers of Satan are highly skilled and trained manipulators. In order to gain credence and respectability in the Church, they undergo transformation of a sort that disguises their true intentions (tares). This transformation makes it difficult for believers who are not anchored in the faith of the LORD Jesus Christ to perceive the deception before their very eyes. Evidently ministers of Satan are not afraid to say that Jesus is LORD. Many believers subscribe to one school of thought that says, agents of Satan cannot say Jesus’ name and view that as the high benchmark which determines whether or not a minister is false. This is clearly not true as the LORD himself testifies.

21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.

22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?

23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

Matthew 7:21 – 23 (King James Version)

They key to identifying ministers of Satan in the Church, is to detect their ‘deceitful works.’ In other words, these ministers may be able to perform miraculous signs and wonder which ingratiate their followers and in turn, used to validate themselves as God’s servant. Once they have secured the trust of their followers, they are then able to instruct them to do things that are completely opposed to the Scripture and Gospel. This highlights the need for every serious believer not to use the miraculous acts, signs and wonders as the sole measurable characteristic that defines a servant of God. Miracles alone own does not validate a person as being godly or ungodly; for even ministers of Satan can perform miracles, and that is not in dispute. Rather we should be looking at the only measurable characteristic that matters, one articulated by the LORD, and judge them by their fruit.

15 Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.

16 Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?

17 Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.

18 A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.

19 Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.

20 Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.

Matthew 7:15 – 20 (King James Version)

Today, more and more people are passionately defending ministers with at best dubious reputation with unparalleled, record of prevarication and lies, at the expense of allegiance to the veracity of Scripture and the Gospel. To them, these ministers have in every way become more important than the message of the Gospel. These ministers have in their eyes become the transcendental so that nothing they claim or preach any longer is scrutinised through the lens of Scripture. In return, these ministers of Satan will tell their followers what they want to hear. Their messages are often hollow, vacuous and completely bereft of substance. With ever increasing emphasis on New Age, mind science and the metaphysical laced with out of context Scripture quotes, leaves their followers drooling for more of the same delusion and demonic intoxication.

Many within these movements have become predisposed to the inflow and trafficking of demonic and satanic spirits with or without their knowledge. They are breeding grounds for spiritual oppression, manipulation and attacks; and can be likewise used at any point to further denigrate the Gospel of the LORD Jesus Christ by bringing it into disrepute through conduct and behaviour unbecoming of those born of the Spirit of God.

They are pervious, to all manner of ungodly spiritual experience ranging from false visions, false revelation, false manifestations, to false dreams, false Words of knowledge, false wisdom and spiritual manipulation; which they perversely and unanimously hold as derivatives of the Holy Spirit.

12 And the sixth angel poured out his vial upon the great river Euphrates; and the water thereof was dried up, that the way of the kings of the east might be prepared.

13 And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs come out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet.

14 For they are the spirits of devils, working miracles, which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty.

Revelation 16:12 – 14 (King James Version)

The Love of Money

Prosperity Gospel

They do not preach the need for repentance and living repentant lives; as that may only serve to detoxify the ungodly influence exerted on their followers. It is unimaginable to think that the LORD Jesus gave His life so that his servants could dedicate their lives preaching and teaching about acquiring wealth, which they lavish on themselves and their cronies.

Is it right that true servants of God should bask in excessive wealth while those they claim to be serving are suffering financially and otherwise?

Do servants of God really need to own several properties scattered all over the world to be fulfilled in serving Him? Do servants of God really need to live in mansions to feel fulfilled in serving Him? Do servants of God really need to be preaching and begging for money every week with every opportunity that presents itself?

Faith Without Substance

In some ways, what many pejoratively call prosperity Gospel is in fact a tested and tried idea stolen from investment banking world. Investment bankers (casino banking) do not make or manufacture any tangible products to sell, and yet they are amongst the very riches of people in this world. What they are very good at doing is developing concepts that stems from an idea; the concepts are them commodified, and monetising with ruthless efficiency.

Exponents of prosperity Gospel apply the same model with equal ruthless efficiency. In their world, there is nothing that God does for His people that is free any more and everything has a price and so long as you are prepared to pay the price, you will be prosperous.

So here is how it works. Prosperity ministers identify needs affecting their flock to which they can commodify and translate into simple digestible promises. Those needs are then monetised with an unfailing promise of a reward and in order to redeem the reward, a transaction must take place in the form what they like to refer to as seeds (money). Like determined investment bankers, prosperity ministers will apply every trick of the trade which usually involves fear and manipulation in order to get their unsuspecting flock to part with their money.

If you then sow your seed (i.e. make your investment) which they keep; you will after some time redeem your seed with interest. Who guarantees the (yield) interest? Well according to them it is God. So they in any event are absolved of any responsibility should the interest expected fail to materialise. Just like investment bankers, prosperity ministers take all the proceeds and benefit of the money you sow (invest) while the general public and their flock alike shoulder all the risk and liability for when things fails.

What is ironic is these prosperity ministers suppose it is entirely right and proper that their flock and not they, should have faith in God for wealth and riches. While they continue to preach to their flock the need to have faith in God for prosperity, it is evident that it does not apply to them. After all, why would they need to have faith in God for their prosperous lifestyle, when they can simply ask their flock to sow seeds.

While prosperity itself is not beyond the will of God to make happen, it is critical to understand that to reduce the Gospel message solely to how much wealth one can acquire demonstrates a complete lack of understanding of what Jesus died for. Some of the scenes in these churches and ministries that preach about money is reminiscent of the madness that happens in boiler rooms of investment bankers. Money has become the object of their desire, money has become their god.

4 For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him.

5 For I suppose I was not a whit behind the very chiefest apostles.

6 But though I be rude in speech, yet not in knowledge; but we have been throughly made manifest among you in all things.

7 Have I committed an offence in abasing myself that ye might be exalted, because I have preached to you the gospel of God freely?

2 Corinthians 11:4 – 7 (King James Version)

A servant of God ceases to be one, when he or she views their ministry as a vehicle to self-aggrandizement and enrichment. Such deceitful workers were and have been evident throughout Church’s history. They believe the message of the Gospel can be exploited to further their own ambitions for riches and wealth.

They unremittingly and without compromise tap into the anxieties of their flock and preach, teach and promote self-aggrandizement and crass materialism as the solution to all their problems. Some of these ministers do not just talk about prosperity and need for it in their lives, they back up the talk with excessive display of riches, wealth and glamour.

5 Perverse disputings of men of corrupt minds, and destitute of the truth, supposing that gain is godliness: from such withdraw thyself.

6 But godliness with contentment is great gain.

7 For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out.

8 And having food and raiment let us be therewith content.

9 But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition.

10 For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.

11 But thou, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness.

1 Timothy 6:5 – 11 (King James Version)

Theirs followers oblige their constant drum beat for more of the same with their money, credit card, debit card and debt card; and in so doing continue to fund and maintain their affluent, extravagant, opulent and ostentatious lifestyles.

2 But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.

2 And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of.

3 And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not.

2 Peter 2:1 – 3 (King James Version)

Gulf Stream Jet

What does this actually mean? It means these ministers of Satan will find crafty and clever ways to extract money from you. One such example is being told to bring your seed and your blessing plan. This is disingenuous and an insult to the Gospel. Theses ministers of Satan take the seed to add to their bulging coffers, while their followers retain the blessing plan. It is not uncommon to find many amongst followers of these ministers of Satan to take out loans to keep up payment with their tithes.

Some have even used their credit cards to pay tithes and sow seeds. Taking out bank loan and using your credit card as a mechanism to pay your tithes or sow a seed is false economy; because you are spending money that you do not actually have. You would have thought that these debt prone practices should never exist in the Church, you would be wrong to think so, because it is in fact encouraged and endorsed in some of these ministries lead by the tares Satan has planted in the Church.

4 Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.

1 John 4:1 (King James Version)

There are many things left still to be said of the perils of satanic ministers, and as you read this article it is almost certain that you have your own anecdotal account, evidence or indeed direct experience of being entangled in the web of deception and manipulation spun by ministers of Satan. The real danger posed by ministers of Satan to the Church is that the worse excesses of their behaviour and conduct become normalised and spiritually acceptable to their followers, membership and those they are able to exert influence upon.

Every follower of ministers planted by Satan needs deliverance to undo and break the ungodly and satanic channels opened to their objective reality, and that is a deliverance that can be found in the veracity of the Gospel of the LORD Jesus Christ alone.
