A disaster long in the making
The increasing prominence of highly sexualised societies is inextricably linked to the emergence and rise of humanist and secularist voices who through stealth promote amoral world. Like its predecessor post modernity promised much by way of forcefully arguing; that we can become better informed human beings through rational thinking and evidenced based approach i.e. science; opposed to unquestionable allegiance to blind faith in God; which modernism sort to replace but failed given that the cause of both world wars for once had nothing to do with religion.
Why is our society becoming highly sexualised? Do we see any correlation between a highly sexualised society and rise in sexual offences being committed?
At this juncture we should add to begin with that the Holy Scripture does not in any way condone or excuse crimes of any description. Sexual offences are wicked as indeed sin is wicked to God.
The Scripture does provide remarkable insight into the way society is organised. For those interested in understanding the Scriptures’ perspective on society and the role of society in the world; a brief study of Paul’s letters in the New Testament will suffice. The Scripture does also offer a godly alternative to the prevailing morass infecting the soul of every indigenous society of the world.
Returning to the first question directed above: – why is our society becoming highly sexualised? Well the simple answer is to blame the “Devil” however; simply blaming the Devil is an abdication of both personal and moral responsibility. Besides it does not help us understand why it is that the psyche of our society is so driven by this insatiable appetite of a highly charged sexual nature, found on many different levels briefly explored in the paragraphs following below.
There was a period in which little girls were allowed to be little girls. They went to school dressed appropriately and perceived as little girls. They were not engulfed in the decadence that we have all become accustomed to with great familiarity.
Such were the generation of young self respecting little girls growing up in a world which, despite its’ many problems had a moral conscience and decency enforced by community cohesion; to respect the child-like purity of innocent girls and not exposed them to exploitation of the sort rampant in child pornography.
In today’s world especially in Western societies (because western culture dominates the arts, entertainment and media industries), little girls are no longer dressed appropriately for school but are given very low cut mini skirt, blouse revealing much of their cleavage and covered in make up to make them look older than they actually are. Apart from this being grossly irresponsible it is paradoxically promoting and feeding into an existing perversity of the kind that is increasing sexual attacks, inappropriate sexual behaviour and moral decadence.

Many parents and people with kids would argue and defend their rights to dress their kids as they see fit, and while that is true rarely do they consider that by dressing their kids especially girls in such manner as depicted in the video footage above; they are fulfilling one of many fantasies of paedophiles and sexual predators. Again we need to reiterate the fact that girls are dressed in any manner they so wish does not mean they should be sexually assaulted. While that in principle is right, pragmatism would suggest that it is probably not a wise thing to do. It is for most part about facing up to the responsibility as responsible parents or adults. No responsible individual would think it is sensible to go to bed at night leaving the front door into their house wide open, even though they have the right to do so. The exercise of rights in the absence of clear thinking responsible conduct amounts to sheer stupidity.
We are constantly bombarded by Devil worship and overly sexualised pornographic music videos on cable and satellite channels like MTV, BET, TMF, and Vevo.
We see women in these music videos often portrayed as commodities, sexual objects and there to be objectified as such. In this way women are sexualised, and their purpose is to arouse sexual instinct through overt seductive dance routines; leaving nothing much to the imagination. It is no wonder that the music and entertainment industry ardently believes that sex sells and would do all within their power to promote it.
The selling of sex in music videos is not an end in itself but merely a bait for something far more sinister. It is about promoting a lifestyle steeped in Devil worship, occultism, moral decadence, and a rite of passage to satanic enlightenment, fame and fortune that can only be inaugurated through moral debasement and sexual depravity.
Young children and those of vulnerable disposition should not be exposed to the filthiness and dross of music videos because it will at some point corrupt them, as they seek to mimic attitudes, behaviour and conduct on display.

But of course we all have a responsibility not to promote such tasteless dross by refusing to watch or endorse the endless bile of filth; however even amongst some who find it morally repugnant; they end up watching it for reasons that are at times beyond their ability to control. Many of the female artists that feature in degrading music videos and movies have defended what they do as part and parcel of being a feminist. While feminists will no doubt continue to debate amongst themselves as to what constitutes feminism, the damage for their purported feminist expression can be seen in particular among young females who develop body image issues, misguided sexual behaviour and even Devil worship.
If you are a fan of Rihana, Beyonce, Miley Cyrus, Kesha, Lady Gaga, Katie Perry, Tailor Swift, Nicki Manij, Madonna, to mention just a few, then there is no question that the image they project in their music videos will and does have grave consequences for you spiritually. In the interest of fairness, the female artists mentioned are not the only ones promoting highly sexually explicit music videos, more extremes ones are available promoted by male and female artists alike, that are way too perverse and illicit to be featured in this article.
We should not only be concerned with what they do in their music videos although in some ways explicit; they are mild in comparison to the sex videos of their (some of the artists) latest exploits they let go viral to feed their insatiable desire for fame and publicity. What is apparent in this race to the bottom of moral degradation and sexual depravity is the concerted effort by very determined forces to make the link between fame and fortune derived from illicit sexual conduct with debauchery, slackness, lewdness, lack of self-respect, and nudity that comes across in music and sex videos, with the worship of the Devil.
Be under no illusion as to what is happening in popular music culture, it would seem that apart from enriching those who produce these sexually overt music and music videos, its other purpose is to have no boundary or limit in sexual degradation of women and to constantly present them as objects intended solely for men’s gratification. When we think of the women who have become style icons and role models venerated and celebrated in glossy celebrity magazines, a vast number of them have had at one point in time released sex tapes depicting themselves in acts of debauchery, fornication or perversity. From Pamela Anderson, Farrah Abraham (The Teen Mom Star), Katie Price, Paris Hilton, to Kim Kardashian, Kendra Wilkinson, Minka Kelly, Rihana, Miley Cyrus, Nicki Manij, Daniela Cicarelli, Tulisa Contostavlos, Eve Jeffers, Jennifer Lopez and the lists goes on and on that have made sex tapes which has some how managed to find its way into the public domain.
Why would any person of a sound mind think it a good idea to video record themselves having sex or performing oral sex if they had no intention for the video to go public and viral? What we are seeing with this new wave of sex tapes is further evidence of the Devil’s kingdom at working in normalising pornography through celebrities and pop stars appeal in moral debasement. After all, when young girl fans of Miley Cyrus watch her perform oral sex and being sodomised in several of her sex tapes, what does that do to them? Will they think its okay to be that way inclined with their boyfriends or random strangers?
While some of the aforementioned are busy making sex tapes, others have chosen more subtle ways to distil the same bile of filth in their music videos. Drunk in love by Beyonce featuring her husband Jay-Z; Bound 2 by Kanye West and Kim Kardashian; Who You Love by Kate Perry and John Mayer; Dance Again by Jennifer Lopez and Casper Smart. The content of these music videos leaves very little to the imagination as to what they want their audience to think.
The fact we are constantly bombarded with such things does if we are not careful diminish our sense of vulgarity that should surface whenever we are fed trash television. Sadly, it has had the opposite effect that many have become desensitised to the impact and ramification that such tasteless exploitation of women by women are having on societies all over the world.
Now we come to our second question which is: – do we see any correlation between highly sexualised societies and rise in sexual offences? The experts on this subject field would argue that there is no connection between our society being highly sexualised and sexual offences. This is typical and is to be expected of course since the vast majority of them are from the post modernity school of thought. To argue that there is a connection would mean looking into the heart of the problem, and the heart of the problem would ultimately lead to the question of the role of religion and God generally from the view point of sociologists.
Gang rape is not a new phenomena but a disturbing pattern has started to emerge where some teenage boys believe they can behave sexually inappropriate to teenager girls. It is well documented that in some major capital cities of the world, teenage girls are conditioned to perform sexual acts on teenage boys as a rite of passage to be accepted by their peers. While teenage boys are conditioned to demand sexual acts being performed on them by teenage girls; and they have no concept and indeed understanding that they are committing sexual offences. You do not need to stretch your imagination far enough to realise where such influence could be acquired.
Often when social services are called to look into a case of child abuse involving another child (a child sex offender abusing another child); a common pattern starts to emerge. In most cases the child sex offender has either been abused by an authority figure; or has been exposed to an abusive environment; thus accounting for one of several reasons why a child becomes a sexual predator.
In this typical scenario there is an obvious correlation between what the child has been exposed to by way of either being a victim or an observer of sexual abuse. The same reasoning can be interpolated into the case for arguing that there is a link between our highly sexualised societies with sexual offences; and the invisible forces of darkness behind the scene are catering to every single desire and appetite for more moral debasement.
It is no wonder therefore that Scripture says,
21 Prove all things; hold fast that which is good.
22 Abstain from all appearance of evil.
23 And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
The key to understanding this passage of scripture lay in the word ‘Abstain.’ To abstain simple means to hold oneself back. What are you holding yourself back from? You are abstaining from all appearance of evil.
This informs us that evil have many and often diverse forms. Some may even look entirely innocent on the surface but it is only after closer introspection, that we come to the realisation of its damaging consequences.
Every self professing Christian should realise that they have a responsibility and duty before God not encourage and inadvertently promote evil. This is a consciousness that comes instinctively from the Holy Spirit; and one that is completely void in post modernity.
5 Be ye therefore followers of God, as dear children;
2 And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling savour.
3 But fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not be once named among you, as becometh saints;
The Scripture emphasise on personal responsibility because lack of it is damaging to community cohesion. Therefore if you know that someone is a recovering alcoholic and vulnerable; you do not consume alcohol in their presence. Doing so may trigger in that person a return to the dark days of being a slave to the bottle. Likewise, we have a responsibility not to promote the works of the sinful nature, but to reprove them because of our collective consciousness as Christians and personal responsibility to God to shine as lights in this world; in order to maintain community cohesion and godliness.
This is the soul that we have as born again men and women of God. In contrast this soul cannot be found in post modernity; since as a construct it believes that human are inherently good. If humans are inherently good, then we would not have crime and evil in this world.
9 Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind,
10 Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.
11 And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.
12 All things are lawful unto me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but I will not be brought under the power of any.
Emissaries of The Devil’s Kingdom
We are mistaken to think that the Devil only receives worship through Devil worshippers in the form of religious symbols and relics hosted in temples and occult sanctums. The Devil also receives worship through peoples’ wilful rebellion and ignorance. The Devil understands mankind’s desire for fame and riches is insatiable and is happy and willing to fulfil that if in turn mankind is prepared to accept his terms and condition.
5 And the devil, taking him up into an high mountain, shewed unto him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time.
6 And the devil said unto him, All this power will I give thee, and the glory of them: for that is delivered unto me; and to whomsoever I will I give it.
7 If thou therefore wilt worship me, all shall be thine.
8 And Jesus answered and said unto him, Get thee behind me, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.
The Devil offered the LORD Jesus Christ all the riches and glory of the kingdoms of this world, which he inherited as a direct consequence of the fall of mankind, if Jesus would fall down and worship him, but the LORD rejected his offer in no uncertain terms. However, many of these celebrities and music artists desperately want what the Devil has on offer and so they have fallen on their knees and worshipped him in exchange (consent to moral, social and spiritual degradation as dictated by the Devil and his kingdom) for the fame, riches and worldly glory they now (briefly) enjoy.
If you are called in Christ Jesus, then do not permit yourself to be brought under the power of the Devil, through inordinate and illicit sexual appeal pervading popular culture . You must and need to understand that these ungodly propensities are the works of the very same Devil who tempted Christ, and those allied to his kingdom. You have a choice not to debase yourself in the same immorality and bile of filth that dominates the airwaves, cyberspace and popular culture. However, most celebrities and music artists idolised by many have already made the wrong choice to sell their souls to the Devil for fame, riches and worldly glory and in do so they have became his agents and emissaries.
They are corrupt and manifest their corruption in unedifying spectacles of glorifying promiscuous lifestyles, debauchery, sexual depravity and illicit sexual conduct. With these they have and are continuing to set very dangerous precedence for young girls who idolise and mimic behaviours they see these servants of the Devil project.
It is in debasing yourself and surrendering your will to sexual depravity and ungodly propensities do your render worship truly to the Devil and the value system upheld in his kingdom.
